Website and Booking Terms

Effective date: 26 August 2026

These terms explain the conditions that apply when you use the Altura Travel website, request travel-planning services or ask us to arrange a booking.

1. About Altura Travel

Altura Travel is operated by Michelle Kennedy in Wexford, Ireland.

Altura Travel operates as an independent travel agent through InteleTravel UK Limited, company registration number 10983417.

In these terms, “Altura Travel”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Altura Travel. “You” and “your” refer to the website visitor, person making an enquiry or person named as the lead traveller on a booking.

2. Terms Applying to Your Booking

These website terms do not replace the booking conditions applying to your individual travel arrangements.

Depending on what you book, your arrangements may also be governed by:

  • The InteleTravel Irish Agency Terms of Business

  • The booking conditions of the relevant tour operator, airline, cruise line, hotel or other travel supplier

  • Package-holiday booking conditions, where applicable

  • Fare rules and other conditions attached to individual travel services

You will be given access to the relevant terms before your booking is confirmed. By authorising a booking or making payment, you confirm that you have read and accepted those terms.

The InteleTravel Irish Agency Terms of Business are available at:

https://www2.inteletravel.com.co/agency-terms-of-business

3. Our Role

Altura Travel provides personal travel-planning assistance, recommendations and booking support.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in your booking documentation, InteleTravel arranges for you to enter into a contract with the travel supplier or principal named on your confirmation. This may be a tour operator, airline, cruise line, accommodation provider or another travel business.

Where InteleTravel or another provider acts as the organiser or principal of a package holiday, this will be identified in the applicable booking documents.

Altura Travel does not own, manage or operate the airlines, hotels, cruise lines or other travel services recommended or booked.

4. Quotations and Availability

Travel recommendations and quotations are prepared in good faith using the information and availability accessible at that time.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • A quotation is not a confirmed booking

  • Prices and availability may change at any time before payment and confirmation

  • Prices may be affected by supplier changes, taxes, currency movements or additional services requested

  • Images and descriptions are provided for general guidance and may have been supplied by the relevant travel provider

  • Special offers may be withdrawn or changed without notice

A booking is only confirmed when the required payment has been processed and written confirmation has been issued by the relevant booking provider.

5. Making a Booking

The lead traveller must be at least 18 years old and authorised to make the booking on behalf of everyone named in it.

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, including:

  • Names exactly as shown on each traveller’s passport

  • Correct dates of birth and contact details

  • Passport and nationality information where required

  • Any medical, mobility, dietary or accessibility requirements relevant to the booking

You must carefully check all names, dates, destinations, travel times and other details as soon as you receive your confirmation. Any error must be reported immediately. Charges may apply if information has to be corrected after confirmation.

Special requests cannot be guaranteed unless the relevant supplier confirms them.

6. Payment

The required deposit, full payment amount and balance deadline will be provided before you confirm your booking.

If a balance is not paid by the stated deadline, the supplier may cancel the booking and apply its cancellation terms.

Payments must only be made through an authorised InteleTravel, supplier or payment-processing system. Altura Travel will never ask you to transfer booking payments to Michelle Kennedy’s personal bank account, PayPal account or another personal payment method.

Altura Travel does not charge a separate planning fee when you book your holiday through us. However, supplier charges and InteleTravel service charges may apply to amendments, cancellations, special requests or other post-booking services. Any applicable charges will be disclosed in accordance with the relevant terms.

7. Cancellations and Amendments

Requests to cancel or change a booking must be made in writing. A request does not take effect until it has been received and acknowledged.

Cancellation and amendment conditions vary between suppliers. Depending on the booking and when the request is made:

  • Deposits may be non-refundable

  • Supplier charges may apply

  • An InteleTravel service charge may apply

  • Cancellation charges may be as much as 100% of the booking cost

Any refund will be subject to the relevant supplier’s conditions, applicable law and the time needed for the supplier to return funds.

If a supplier changes or cancels part of your booking, your options will be determined by the supplier’s booking conditions and any rights you have under applicable Irish or European law.

8. Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that every traveller has:

  • A valid passport

  • Any visas or travel authorisations required

  • The correct entry and transit documentation

  • Any required health or vaccination documentation

  • Suitable identification for all travel services

  • Permission to travel with a child where required

Entry requirements can change between booking and departure. Although Altura Travel may provide general guidance, you must verify the requirements applying to your personal circumstances with the relevant embassy, consulate or official authority.

Irish travellers should review the latest official advice at:

https://www.ireland.ie/en/dfa/overseas-travel/advice/

Altura Travel and the relevant suppliers cannot accept responsibility where a traveller is unable to travel because they have not met the applicable passport, visa, health or entry requirements.

9. Travel Documents and Final Arrangements

You are responsible for reviewing all documents provided and completing any required actions by the stated deadlines. These may include:

  • Supplying advance passenger information

  • Checking in online

  • Selecting or confirming seats

  • Reviewing baggage allowances

  • Reconfirming travel arrangements where requested

  • Downloading or printing boarding passes, vouchers and tickets

  • Arriving at the airport or departure point in sufficient time

Failure to complete a required action may result in additional charges or an inability to travel.

10. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed.

Your policy should be appropriate for your destination, personal circumstances and planned activities, and should include suitable cover for cancellation, medical treatment, repatriation, travel disruption, baggage and personal belongings.

You are responsible for disclosing all relevant medical information to the insurer and ensuring that every traveller has appropriate cover.

11. Accessibility and Special Assistance

Please tell us about mobility, medical, dietary or accessibility requirements before booking.

We will pass relevant requests to the appropriate supplier, but a request is not guaranteed until confirmed by that supplier. Additional charges may apply and will be explained where known.

12. Financial Protection

The protection applying to a booking depends on the type of travel arrangement purchased and the organiser or supplier responsible for it.

Package holidays sold by InteleTravel UK Limited as principal to customers in the Republic of Ireland are protected under its Irish Total Payment Protection policy, subject to the terms and conditions of that policy.

Packages organised by another supplier will be protected through the arrangements identified in that supplier’s confirmation. Standalone travel services may not receive the same financial protection as a package holiday.

The financial protection applying to your particular booking will be explained before confirmation. A copy of the relevant protection information is available on request.

13. Problems During Your Trip

If something goes wrong while you are travelling, you must report it immediately to the relevant supplier, local representative or emergency contact shown on your travel documents. This gives the provider an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue while you are there.

Please also contact Altura Travel as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assist.

InteleTravel Customer Services can currently be contacted on:

Within the Republic of Ireland: 1800 816 398
From outside the Republic of Ireland: +44 330 808 4419

Always use the emergency details shown on your current booking documents, as contact information may vary by supplier.

14. Complaints

If a concern is not resolved while you are away, please submit it in writing to the principal or supplier named on your booking confirmation and contact Altura Travel for assistance.

Your complaint should include:

  • The lead traveller’s name

  • The booking reference

  • The dates of travel

  • A clear description of the issue

  • Any supporting photographs, receipts or correspondence

You may also be asked to copy InteleTravel Customer Services using the contact details shown on your confirmation documents.

15. Responsibility and Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights or legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Altura Travel is responsible for providing its own travel-planning and booking assistance with reasonable care and skill.

Where InteleTravel acts as an agent, responsibility for providing the booked travel service rests with the principal or supplier identified on your booking confirmation, subject to the applicable booking conditions and consumer law.

Altura Travel is not responsible for an independent supplier’s acts or omissions where responsibility legally rests with that supplier. This does not exclude liability arising from Altura Travel’s own negligence, fraud or breach of an obligation that cannot lawfully be limited.

The Altura Travel Privacy Policy is available on this website.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these website terms when our services, systems or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date.

Changes to these website terms will not retrospectively replace the booking conditions already applying to a confirmed booking.

20. Governing Law

These website terms are governed by Irish law, and disputes relating specifically to the use of this website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Individual travel bookings may be governed by the law and jurisdiction stated in the applicable InteleTravel, organiser or supplier booking conditions.

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory rights available to you under Irish or European consumer law.
